Young Slugz is a Zambian born rapper who was raised in the United Kingdom from the age of two, he then relocated to Botswana where he carried on and completed highschool. During his A-Levels at Maru-a-Pula School he teamed up with fellow classmate, Young V;they dropped a hot single titled 'young&fresh' which shot all the way to number one on the top twenty charts in Botswana. Recognition then gave them the opportunity to get gigs all over the country as well as become 'young' celebrities in Botswana.
As the two artists continued to study at University they parted ways and both launched their solo careers. Young Slugz pushed harder to make it in the music industry by networking and meeting new people in Johannesburg. He then hooked up with the very talented producer 'Gordo Cartel' and continued making music. The two gained recognition and became well known in the entertainment industry.
This year Young Slugz has risen from an underground rapper to one of the most talented unsigned artists in South Africa; he has performed on the 2010 edition of Big Brother Africa and other huge events in the country such as ESPN extravaganza and Caramel Sundae.
Young Slugz continues to make hits and surprise all hip-hp heads with his DJ known as DJ Bash and producers Gordo Cartel and Bongani Shongwe - as a group they are known as Cartel Entertainment!
